If this is our guy, it looks like he lived in Winnipeg at the same time as Johnny Coleman.

He moved to Canada in 1909, and married fellow immigrant Jane McConnell later that year. They had a son, also James, in 1910. James Jnr died in Feb 1967.

I haven't been able to find any gravestone or death records for Jane and James, hopefully when I get them, I can check local newspapers for an obituary.
