John Hughes was born in Coatbridge. He scored 189 goals in 416 appearances for Celtic, and earned eight full international caps for the Scotland national team. He also formed part of the Celtic side who went to the final of the European Cup on 25 May 1967 and became known as the Lisbon Lions. Although Hughes did not play in the 1967 final. He was awarded a winners medal in recognition of the part he played in the team, and having played in the requisite number of matches to qualify for a medal, along with Joe McBride and Charlie Gallacher.

Was at £9500 last I saw it - Don't know what it finished at?

Yogi saying it was stolen in a burglary at his house in Hamilton in 1981.

Christie's punted it in 2007 and the Bhoy in Dublin bought it.

Are Christie's liable here tc or do they have disclaimers?

Is Yogi likely to get it back?

Yogi will certainly get his medal back CB

Yes been reported that Yogi had his collection stolen in a break in with everything being returned except the big one, im just wondering if the robbery tarnished the collection and thats why some of his other medals have been sold at auction, Im not sure if the ebay seller was the original Christie's buyer, if he was not and cant trace it back he has lost what he paid for it, if he can Christie's will definetely give him his money back as they cant be seen to be selling stolen goods.
