Celtic End P, Hun End was bigger. Any idea of the year? I'm sure the railing went up in 1898 and came down in 1913 so must be between then.

Hi, The photos above are from my family tree. These were taken from Ancestry.com. I realize that these photos were public but it would have been nice if you asked before putting them on another site as they came to me from a family member that did not want them used w/out asking. Having said that, These photos are from 1914. I don't know much about the Rory Og O'More band and the CFC. I didn't know if anyone has any other photos or info on them. John Kane in back row was friendly w/ the team. That is the only connection to the team that I know about. I tried to do research but haven't found anything on the band at the park. I spoke to Andrew the historian at Celtic Park and he had not heard of the band. Thanks, Eileen:)

Hi Eileen

I'm terribly, terribly sorry for forgetting to ask permission. It's only when you mentioned it there that it seems such a bloody obvious omission, and I'm quite embarrassed that we didn't check with you.

A Burning Pride

Not sure if its at all related but there was was/is a boozer on Westmuir St, Parkhead called O'Kanes. It's changed names a few times but might be back to O'Kanes again.

More info and a pic here:

The wee buroo was just up the road from o'Kane's, when it re-opened in 1974 i can remember thinking ... im heading in their with my £3.75 on my 18th birthday

Not heard of many O'Kane's in my time and the pub could be a lead for those that are looking.

Hi: I wrote before on The Rory Og O'More Band in 1914 that played for the Celtic Football Club. I wish to clarify that my cousin who owns the photos has given this website permission to use the photos on this site but if anyone wishes to publish the photos to ask my cousin John permission first, these photos are personal to him. It is his grandfather and uncles that are in the photos. The photos were taken from my family tree on Ancestry.com. John and I are happy these photos had such a great response. We have also been impressed w/ your website and we are also interested in educating others about our family involvement in the history of The Celtic Football Club. I have enjoyed your site and the history of the club. This is all new to me since researching my family tree and trying to learn about "football" which is different than American Football! If anyone has information on the Rory Og O'More Band we would love to hear from you. Thank You Eileen

Hi Joe: I was looking at the photo on your site of 1912-03-30 Celtic 3-0 Heart of Midlothian Scottish cup. In this photo at first I thought this was taken about the same time as John's photo but when I look at it again I realized that John's photo may be earlier? 1906. In john's the roof over the terracing is not there as in your photo dated 1912. John's also has a white fence around the field. Do the guys know when the roof was built and if it looks like the CFC? The cement area behind the band looks similar. Thanks everyone, Eileen:)
