Speaking to the Bear yesterday who was telling me his piece on Peter Scarff was in the latest edition (back pages)

From caltonbhoy1967
Jimmy and Veronica got married in Moville.

Heading South up the Foyle - Moville to Derry is 17/18 miles and then from Derry to St.Johnston is 7/8 miles so all in it is about 25 miles from Movillle to St.Johnston.
Someone in my family has been telling me porkies then, or they have been seriously mixed up

I was told the tale from a young age of Jimmy leaving my Aunts home (above her drapery/pub) on the Gallowgate on the morning of his wedding. For the sake of folklore I hope it happened but now more likely was someone else's wedding

If its any consolation GR he might have been a "best man" or

you have been told porkie's right enuff

If the date 1946 ties in he was married again in Braemar.
