Grant, James (1897-1914); Identified + grave located

James Grant was a wine and spirit merchant who was elected onto the Celtic board at the first meeting of the newly formed public limited liability company on June 17th 1897 in the Annfield Hall, Gallowgate.
He served on the board until his death in 1914. His great-grandson Tom Grant was a director on the club in the 1990s

James Grant owned a pub called the Grant Arms at 19 Argyle Street, 106 Main Street, Gorbals and 548 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow.

now searching the 1891 census fro a james grant born in ireland

The only real match on the census turns up a spirit merchant

Did he die in ireland?

in 1881 census he has become a spirit dealer employing 6 people

A James Grant J.P. died on 10th October 1914.

Funeral was on Tuesday 13th. No note of where it was.

I've gone through the Herald deaths for all of 1914, and that's the only possible match. There were about 10/15 missing editions.
