FFS.

I'd love to have the energy to start a nationwide "catalogue your local cemetery" campaign - one that actually works.

The next thing I want to do is find the connection to the Mary walls who was married to Hugh darroch. At first guess this will be Timothy's cousin

Tim Walls was my grandmothers uncle. He is buried in Dunoon Cemetery, along with his parents Thomas and Bridget, and his sisters Charlotte and Adelaide. Not sure of any link to Mary Walls although still digging into the family history. Can send you a copy of a picture of the gravestone.

Further info just found on Scotland's People -Mary Darroch is a witness to the will of Bridget Walls who died 1918, Tim Walls mother, along with Charles McEwen (who is named on the DC of Tim) was married to Tim's sister Veronica Walls. So your guess that she is a cousin looks sound.

Cheers

ok to summise

Hugh Darroch's wife was a widow called Mary Walls or Neeson, Walls being her original name. They married in St Andrews cathedral on 26th December 1888.

Mary wall's (Hugh's wife) parents were a James walls (engine fitter) deceased and a Rose ann walls nee McBride deceasedMary was 30 in 1888, so dob is 1858

Mary Walls first marriage: 1877 NEESON THOMAS WALLS MARY BLYTHSWOOD GLASGOW CITY/LANARK644/0

Sarah Walls, the sister of Mary walls was born abt 1862 and lived in 17 Bank St in 1891

So is there a connection between James walls and Tim Walls (sr)?

If they are brothers then Mary and Sarach would be cousins of Tim Walls (jr)
