Maybe got a link here to Mick McKeown

Mick married Margaret Quillan on 23rd April in St Mary's

on the same day Margaret's brother Patrick was also married.

Their father was Patrick Quillan (Spirit merchant) and Mother Elizabeth (deceased).

Witnesses though were James Quillan and Roseanne Quillan

Marriage certificate (from 1874) matches his mum and dad

So this James Quillan is the one from the wedding (and one of only 4 in "glasgow" in 1891)

As it stands, this guy was definitely the one who was at the wedding. (and only one of about 4 James Quillans. And he's a cooper)

His father is down as being a Peter. So could his father be the brother of PAtrick the spirit merchant?

AFter lunch i'll work out the connection to Patrick

So

Micheal McKeown married Margaret Quillan on 23 April in St Mary's (witnesses were James and Roseanne Quillan)

Patrick Quillan married Annie Collanie (sp) on 23 April in St Mary's

Margaret and Patrick's parents were Patrick (spirit merchant) and Elizabeth McMenemy (deceased)

The James Quillan who was a witness was a cooper, and his parents were Peter (Labourer) and Elizabeth Lynch (Deceased)

So the easiest theory is that Patrick and Peter are brothers, and so Patrick and Margaret are the cousins of James

I'll now try to find a census showing Peter and Patrick together at some point

I had it in my head that Mr Quillan had paid for Michaels funeral. It was Celtic and Mr Quillan had passed by then.

Do we have a lair number for Michael? If so, can someone PM me it. Has anyone checked to see who else is in Michaels lair? I am guessing he would be in the old part of the cemetary.

Some work fellas. Really, some work you have put in here. Anytime I get 2 mins to look at this it seems to have moved on, and on, and on.

Fantastic.

Great news ghuys.
CaltonBhoy67 and myself with the great assistance of staff at Dalbeth have pics of Mick McKeown's final resting place after a visit to Dalbeth today.

He does indeed lie under the headstone of Patrick Qullan.

Will post pic soon
