====== by caltonbhoy1967 ====== If they are not appearing in the books I would think maybe St.Mary's Calton might have something - They used to have all sorts in there back in the day. Anybody checked the Observer re an obituary for Dr,Conway (I'd assume there was one) to see if there is a picture. Possible discuss on Tuesday evening trying to foster relations with Dalbeth,Monsignor Smith and ws has previously suggested also The Marists who are now residing back in Nithsdale Road and Partickhill Road. ====== by domrafferty ======![]() David Meikleham 1852 - 1938 Member of the original Celtic Committee After much hunting, my mother found this portrait, now labelled, of my Great Great Grandfather, David Meikleham, who was on the original Committee and is subsequently listed as a leaseholder. He is buried in Dalbeth. As far as I know there are no other pictures of him in circulation. You can see the inscription of the portraitists, M. Monapenny of Sauchiehall St, underneath. This photo probably dates from some time after the turn of the century. Hopefully much more to come |
